Memory Care and Life EnrichmentOur approach to memory care...Regent Court's goal is to enable residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia to retain abilities, function and enjoyment of life for as long as possible. Our Life Series program promotes resident independence, dignity and self-esteem through consistent care, stimulating activities and a specialized residential design. Living away from home is always a challenge, and even more so when one has dementia. That's why at Regent Court, we created four individual neighborhoods within our community to provide smaller, more intimate living areas to accommodate no more than 12 residents at a time. Each neighborhood has its own distinctive decorating theme to assist the resident in remembering where his or her room is located and provides an activity kitchen, space for activities and places to visit with family or other residents. Our residents are encouraged to explore and enjoy the community and grounds in a safe and secure environment. Our loving care providers are continuously trained in care techniques for those challenged by memory loss. Regent Court's nursing staff and medication specialists assure that each resident successfully receives the care they need. Personal PreferencesOur guiding philosophy...At Regent Court we practice a "Personal Preferences" philosophy of service which allows residents to choose how to live each day in our community. Our assessments and service plans focus on residents' identified routines and preferences. We will work to customize our services to include preferences regarding dining, activities, housekeeping and personal time. Whenever and however possible, we will tailor services and activities to each individual resident. |
